Mark Mills Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Hello. I have just noticed that most of the .afphoto files I have created during the last week are only about 1 Mo (whereas others range from 80 to 500 Mo). When I try to open these small files, I get this message: What is going on? How can I recuperate these files? Thank You, Mark Mills Quote
GarryP Posted March 13 Posted March 13 My first guess for the problem would be that the linked resources (images etc.) have been moved/deleted at some point between the document being last saved and it then being opened, or that the document was moved before it was last opened. Linked resources are defined by a relative path to a file from the document. So, for example, if you have an image in “C:\Images\Holiday” and a document in "C:\Docs" and you move the image to “C:\Pictures\Holiday” then the link has been broken – the relative path between "C:\Docs" and "C:\Images\Holiday" is not the same as that between "C:\Docs" and "C:\Pictures\Holiday" – and the link then needs to be re-established. If you press the “Yes” button you can use the dialog which is given to try and find where the resources are now and (maybe) re-link them all together, or you can press the “Resource Manager” button to open the Resource Manager to find them one-by-one. walt.farrell Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Perhaps the .afphoto files are ones you created by Opening a Raw image file, Developing it, and Saving. And perhaps you used the Develop option (Context Toolbar) to use a Linked Raw Layer as the output, rather than a Pixel layer. In that case, you would have a very small .afphoto file which Links to the original Raw image. And in that case, if you delete or move that Raw image to a different location, you'll get that message.
