Jiří Zajíček Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi, I encountered a sync issue with OneDrive and Publisher 2. I created a document today, filled in some embedded SVGs, saved the document to OneDrive. I was able to open the file on a desktop machine. Then after some time I edited the file on iPad, added some more pages, saved and closed. Then I found out the changes were not saved to OneDrive. I wanted to reopen the file on iPad, I had to do it through OneDrive directories as the file was not in live files anymore. When I opened the file, the downloading popup appeared and the spinner spun indefinitely without opening the file. For further reference this file is called test. The issue might be caused by my work with the app. The reason I was opening test on desktop was that I encountered issues placing content into image frames on iPad. After the first version of test was created I created another file on iPad called print with picture frames (saved to the same OneDrive folder). I was filling in the picture frames with pages from test. In preflight appeared errors without any meaningful content (unluckily I do not remember the text), and in some cases after selecting a page and clicking on a picture frame the app crashed. So, I gave up on the filling print on iPad and decided to finish it on desktop. The picture frames there were not filled in, I thought it might be caused by the errors in preflight on iPad. I filled in all the image frames as originally desired, saved and printed. So, it seems the not saving issue appeared after I tried to insert test into print. From then no newer version was uploaded to OneDrive. The problem is there was no error visible, I thought test got properly saved later, so I closed it in live documents where I did not get any warning about unsaved changes. Thank you for taking a look at it! Jiří Zajíček Quote

Jiří Zajíček The major issue when working between the iPad version and the desktop version is that you must not only save your file on the iPad but also Close the file on the iPad version - just as you would save on the desktop then Close on the desktop. Forgetting to do this will result in two versions of the file existing and not updating correctly. Hope this helps.
