This seemed to work in V1 but not V2.

Open new document in millimeters. Set grid to 4mm with 4 divisions. Draw straight line and set to dashed. Line stroke is 1pt., dash is 0 and gap is 11.3385.

This creates a line of dots 4mm apart in V1 but in V2, gaps 11.1/11.2/11.3 all create dots at 4mm apart which can’t be accurate just based on accumulative effect.

I bumped up decimal points to 3 places where applicable but that didn’t make any difference in precision.

If I import a V1 file with this dashed line into ADv2 and copy and paste that dashed line into my new V2 layout, I indeed do have 4 decimal precision on that line.

It’s not very practical to have to do that each time I want to create a new shape with 4mm spaced dots.

There are multiple known unfixed bugs regarding strokes and dashed strokes:

  • End caps are inconsistent between start and end node of curve
  • pressure profile not handled correctly
  • expand strokes gives bad and wrong results, even when pressure curve is unchanged
  • phase shift needs to be set in unexpected ways

there were some added functions in V2 like multiple dash patterns and specifically „balanced“ strokes which might explain caused those bugs, or explain the different behavior to V1
