I received an email from DxO regarding their Collection 7.  Investigating, it does have some very nice features, especially in their Selection tools.

I then read the topic posts here in this forum, and it appears other posters have noted the same limitations I'm sensing when compared to AP2.  I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but I'm not seeing how or if C7 creates layers so as to accomplish non-destructive edits.  Also, I have concerns that adding a third-party augmentation to AP2 could simply complicate things and potentially take time away from actual billable time.

So, as a remedy, I'm wondering if Affinity could take a look at the C7 features and find a way to add even better improvements of those found and are missing in AP2.  I'm sure there are patents, licenses, et al, but that's what creativity product dev people are for.  Just a personal opinion, and not suggesting anything illegal.
