nahoj Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hello Publishers, today I imported a pdf in Publisher 2 but the Punctuation marks are not what it should be, see the screenshot to compare the original pdf and the imported text in Publisher. Has anyone such a thing? Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 31 Staff Posted January 31 Hi @nahoj, Looks like there may be an issue specific to that font on your Mac, Could you share a copy of the original .PDF file so we're able to confirm and investigate further? Many thanks! Quote
nahoj Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 Hello Nathan C, I did the pdf-export again from Indesign CS6 on High Sierra where it seems ok in acrobat X (10.1.16). When I open it on the MacBook Pro max M3 with adobe acrobat pro 2020 (version 2020.0055.30748) everything looks fine. Open it in Affinity Publisher 2 (2.5.7) it has the same errors as before a few days. I found out after opening in Publisher and try to correct the Quotation marks it works with a little trick. First I delete the wrong mark, then I type the correct Quotation mark like ". If it not functions at once, I type Quotation mark again or I type cmd+z (Europe!) and than I go to the end of the word and repeat it. But only with the Quotation marks it works. With • and ß it don't works. I hope you find a solution and thanks for your TIME! Best regards HAW_LangDIN - 2025.pdf Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 31 Staff Posted January 31 Thanks @nahoj, comparative to viewing the PDF in Acrobat Affinity doesn't support importing PDF embedded fonts, so it will use the font installed on MacOS or a substitue if it's missing. The file appears to use 'CorporateA' for the bullets which isn't a standard font, can you share the font used? I've provided a private upload link below so it doesn't need to be shared publicly. https://www.dropbox.com/request/lFvjabFOEqZrjLtOiFDI Thanks Quote
nahoj Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Hello NathanC, now i know what's getting wrong. It's the old postscript 1 font. After i converted the font with "FontConverter.app" from the apple store i could open it in Publisher 2 with no issues. Thanx for your time! NathanC 1 Quote
