Nayaril Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Good morning everyone, when I export to pdf and reopen the exported file it does not keep the names of the layers. I need to send a file to the printing house with the layers that have a specific name for special printing with special colors. It does not even keep the groups. How can I do it? Thank you very much Quote
Hangman Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Hi @Nayaril and welcome to the forums, For PDF Layers to maintain their Layer names in an exported PDF, you need to Group the respective layers in a Layer (Capital L), i.e., created by selecting the Add Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel (highlighted in yellow below) or by selecting New Layer from the Layer menu and nesting the required objects inside the Layer. When exporting to a PDF file select Include Layers from the Advanced section of the PDF export window... You should find that then maintains the respective Layer names once exported but let us know if that is not the case... Nayaril Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Awesome! It works! I was also able to change the name of the Layer keeping "Layer" with a capital L and then adding "- NAME OF YOUR CHOICE" Hangman 1 Quote
