Hello,
Affinity Photo2 Ver 2.5.7

I find printing to be a black hole.
Can't find the Print Persona.
When I do use the File - Print, function, I find the options available to be very restrictive.
I can't seem to be able to re-size on the fly, choose whatever border sizes I want. Basically put the image anywhere I want and whatever size I want on whatever size paper?
Also how do I change Pixels??? to Millimeters or Inches?

I have to use Gimp as a versatile alternative for printing and can't seem to do what it offers in AP?
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

During my 7-1/2 years of using Affinity Photo I have never found it useful for printing. Anyone doing a lot of printing needs at print time to be able to crop, set aspect ratios, add borders inside or outside the print dimensions, set prints/page or duplicate several prints on a page for later cutting, resize, save and recall settings for more than one printer, recall previous print jobs, and many other tasks. This requires a robust photo printing program. I've been using QImage and QImage Ultimate to do all my photo printing for more than 20 years with excellent results. It was originally a Windows program but a Windows/Mac implementation from a different vendor was released a few years ago.

When you do something frequently it pays to have the proper tools rather than struggle with tools not designed for the purpose. The latter may be adequate for occasional use but in the long run are not worth the frustration.

There is no Print Persona. In the Affinity apps the print options are supplied by & derived from the print driver(s) & their supporting files installed on the computer, so there is no "one size fits all" place where the options will appear in the print dialog or to know which options a particular print driver supports.

Consequently, many of the things one would like to do like position the document on the printed page, cropping it, & so on may only be available (or easy to control) by modifying the document itself. So as has been mentioned, it often is not a great choice for printing.
