ygoe Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hello, I recently discovered the export persona in Affinity Designer and use it to export certain regions of a document as separate PNG or SVG images to embed in other documents. I need to update these exported images from time to time so I use the export region for that. It suggests the region name as the file name which is good. But it'll always sit in the last export directory. My files need to go to other directories, though. So I'll click through the file picker and navigate to the target folder each time. And later I'm doing the same in reverse when I export the whole document into its source directory. Each export region has some properties, like the file format and additional resolutions. One field is the file path. But whatever I enter there is not picked up. In input like "C:\Data\whatever..." the colon (:) is even removed which of course breaks the whole path. What is that path field for and why can't I set the path where to always export that region to? Quote

You always have to select the drive and initial folder where you want the outputted files saved The path component allows you to specify additional folder information that is added to the initial folder you selected above So, if I want c:\cat-images\ as my output drive and initial folder I can specify the path for my large cat images as \full-size\ and my large images will be saved in a folder called c:\cat-images\full-size\ If I have thumbnails of these images, I can specify the path for them as \thumbnails\ and the thumbnails will be saved in c:\cat-images\thumbnails\ Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
