GratefulEd Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) I just downloaded Designer V2 from the AppStore onto a late 2013 Macbook Pro running OS 10.15.7, everything said this would work but when I boot the program to setup an account so I can try it out (with full intent of buying it due to the reviews) it does not connect with your server and just spins. I have no filters or security chokes on my internet connection that I know of. Is there anything you can think of that might be the problem? thanks. Edited January 20 by GratefulEd Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 21 Staff Posted January 21 Welcome to the forums @GratefulEd sorry to hear that, I'd recommend signing up for the free 7 day trial from the Affinity Store website directly, and once registered sign in to the app as an existing user, this should hopefully activate the trial period and allow you to start using the apps. https://affinity.serif.com/trial/ Quote
GratefulEd Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Thanks I will, I really look forward to checking this stuff out, I was a beta tester for Photoshop, worked with Thomas Knoll who really wrote the program, and was friends with Jim von Ehr who wrote Freehand and went on to run Macromedia. I liked Freehand way better than illustrator so I will be interested to see how intuitive your interface is. I can upgrade the computer I have to OS X 11 but no further and I don't prefer to even have to deal with the confines of that newer slicky shit. New systems suck. Thanks again I hope this works.
