Mac OSX 10.15.7 Catalina

Spent some hours trying to add page 23 to an existing 22 page document using “Add page from file” after the last page and it cuts or deletes parts of the text every time. The imported page was a PDF opened and exported out as an Affinity 2 document, so both files are native Publisher 2 documents.

Have screenshots, and the multipage portfolio with the mangled floor plan already added as the last page, and have the floor plan as separate single page too.

Please can someone open the two Publisher documents side by side to see the difference, and then import the floor plan again into the multipage portfolio document to see if it does the same on your system. Is it just me ?

Thanks.

Nick

Hi @Macsolver,

Looks like a bug triggered by a DPI mismatch between the documents, '05 proposed ground' is 72DPI, whereas 'Test low res portfolio' is 300DPI. The text layers that disappear have vector curves masks, which offset and scale on the page when using 'Add pages from file' since the added page is converted to 300DPI.This can also be observed in the standalone document, converting from 72 to 300DPI will result in the same issue.

As a workaround, you could convert the low-res portfolio to 72DPI to ensure they match, or if the existing DPI value must be retained you can re-position the mask layers or remove them entirely.

This does appear to be a bug that has not yet been addressed in the 2.6 beta and I'm also able to reproduce the issue from an entirely new document so I'll be logging this with the developers for further investigation.
