Hello, today we purchased and installed affinity photo 2, version 2.5.7. Unfortunately the program is not working. As soon as I try to open any photo, the whole program crashes (shuts down by itself). The computer is about a year old, with Windows 10. Could anyone advise what to do about it?

Try the following :

Open Affinity Photo without opening a Photo. Go to settings/ Performance and untick hardware accelaration . Try again.

Thank you for the reply, I tried it but it still doesn't work. As soon as I want to open any photo from any location the program crashes.

We even managed to update windows from 10 to 11 pro and also nothing.

@DarinaA, Welcome to the forums :)

When this happens, updating your GPU drivers tend to fix it.

Are you getting any Crash Reports? If so could you please attach a couple of the latest?
