BASIC INFO

  • App & version: Publisher 2.5.7
  • OS & version: Windows 11 (up-to-date)
  • Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (up-to-date)
  • Hardware acceleration: On & Off
  • Reproducibility: Always
  • Affects new document?: Yes

WHAT HAS HAPPENED
Pressing Alt+Tab to change from active main-app to minimized (previously "fullscreen") float window, resizes the float window from "fullscreen" to "main-app viewport" size (still being float).

WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED
The "fullscreen" float window should not have changed its window size.

MINIMAL STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Open Publisher
  2. Create a new document
  3. Create another new document
  4. Make one of them float
  5. Turn it fullscreen mode (via top-right "maximize button" or by "drag-and-drop" the float window to the top of the screen)
  6. Minimize the float window via top-right "minimize button"
  7. Click on the main-app (needed because there's an active bug already reported and accepted that does not return the focus to it)
  8. Press Alt+Tab (the float window gets resized from proper "fullscreen" to "main-app viewport" size)

BUG
Unminimizing previously-maximized float window gets resized on Alt+Tab.

Note: the bug triggers different wrong window sizes depending if you maximized it via "maximize button" or via "drag-and-drop". No idea why the difference.

EDIT: I was about to fill another bug report, but I finally think it's another side of the source of this one too. When using side-by-side windows (one the main-app and the other a float window), if you minimize the window, click on the main-ap and then Alt+Tab, the "restored" float window gets resized too.

So, the "source bug" is most probably akin to "(float) window ignores previous window size and tries to adapt to main-app viewport size".
