BD Weisel Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Getting closer to finishing up my book, I selected "Document Setup" to check my settings for printing at lulu.com. When I finished, I discovered my top toolbar with an entire row of useful editing items like font, size, color, etc. etc. were gone, replaced by "Document Setup". I went through options on View-> but was unable to find a way to restore my toolbar. It seems as if I lost the contents in "Show Context Toolbar" but I see no option to restore or recreate what I had previously. Attached is image of the the toolbar now. thanks, Bonnie Quote

Choose anything in the layers panel. The Context pertains to what is selected, text versus an image versus something else. BD Weisel Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 Publisher version 2, not clear what you mean by the "layers panel". Unable to determine what can be selected to restore my toolbar. thanks, bonnie Quote
BD Weisel Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 OK, just figured out the solution. I had to was double click on the a text section and the top toolbar now had all the tex options. thanks for the quick reply, bonnie Quote
MikeTO Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Bonnie, the Context Toolbar will show the Document Setup button and a few other things when you select the Move tool without an object selected. Click on a text frame and you'll see Font and other font options, or click on a shape and see options specific to that shape. Bruce suggested selecting anything in the Layers panel which means selecting any object on the page. The Layers panel is usually on the right side of the screen and can be opened with Window > Layers. But selecting an object by clicking on it does the same thing.
