Copy and paste takes too long

If I copy vector graphics with some Images, it takes a long time! Do you have the same experience?

It would be helpful for diagnostic purposes if we could see an example, either a full-screen video showing the problem and/or an example document with a series of steps we can take to reproduce the problem.

Thank you, @GarryP. I will try to make something the same as my original work and will post that here.

@GarryP For example, I copied 12 images (embedded heic file format, and the total of 12 documents is 1.5 MB), Affinity Designer started thinking for 15 seconds, while my document is very light and has only two rectangle vector shapes, and no other file was open.
