The problem of "Roman character input" in Japanese.
The platform is iPad.

If you run this method on an external keyboard, the first character entered will be ignored.
This method is very common in Japanese, so it is difficult to enter.

This symptom is 100% reproduced in ver2.5.7 and 2.6.0.

I can't use English, so it's very difficult to convey this.

If the issue is specific to Romaji keyboard input via an external keyboard then we do have an issue logged with the developers regarding incorrect input of the first character, with the example being ka (か) being incorrectly input as 'あ'. I've updated the existing issue and bumped it with your report.
