On Affinity Photo 2 Version: 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Operating system: MacOs 12.7.6 ID: release 2-x.

Suddenly, when opening the photos taken with iPhone 15 Pro (update 18.2) a message arrives that "it is impossible to open the file .... HEICH because this type of file is not supported".

15 days ago I worked on almost 500 photos taken last September with iPhone 15 Pro n (with 17.7 update) and I had no problems; the files were opened, processed and exported with jpg extension regularly.

When I owned Affinity Photo 1, I had the same problem and was forced to buy the Affinity Photo 2 version, with which I had a great time.

Welcome to the forums @RoCia,

Unfortunately, this is a known issue currently logged with the developers for resolution, any HEIC files shot on a device running iOS 18 will fail to import with the 'not supported' error, I've bumped the existing issue with your report.

The issue "HEIC files made with iOS 18 are unsupported" (REF: AF-4369) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.3078). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
