RoCia Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 On Affinity Photo 2 Version: 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Operating system: MacOs 12.7.6 ID: release 2-x. Suddenly, when opening the photos taken with iPhone 15 Pro (update 18.2) a message arrives that "it is impossible to open the file .... HEICH because this type of file is not supported". 15 days ago I worked on almost 500 photos taken last September with iPhone 15 Pro n (with 17.7 update) and I had no problems; the files were opened, processed and exported with jpg extension regularly. When I owned Affinity Photo 1, I had the same problem and was forced to buy the Affinity Photo 2 version, with which I had a great time. Quote
Staff NathanC Posted January 3 Staff Posted January 3 Welcome to the forums @RoCia, Unfortunately, this is a known issue currently logged with the developers for resolution, any HEIC files shot on a device running iOS 18 will fail to import with the 'not supported' error, I've bumped the existing issue with your report.
