Photo Beta latest update issues with layers film attached for better explanation

Hi

I noticed today after upgrading to the latest Beta update that the behavior of merging layers does not work well anymore.

If I change the layer from normal to another setting like Linear Burn I see the wanted effect on screen.

But when selecting both the original layer and customized layer the effect is gone and the top layer covers the below layer.

In the normal release and previous releases everything worked well.

I attache a screen film for a better explanation.

I use Mac mini M2 OSX Seqouya 15.2.

Affinity photo Beta 2.6 latest update.

Hi @hnsmldrs, this might be related to certain logic changes because of the ability to use Merge Selected with Image and RAW layers. I'll have a look.

Just loaded the latest update and now this issue is fixed. 

Very happy because for high pass sharpening and special layer effects this is a main part in my work flow.

Glad to hear it's fixed! Do let me know if you encounter any other issues with layer merging.
