I'm having issues running either piece of software. They close soon after launch and the app log does not appear to provide any useful information.
I have tried the following:

  • Updated graphics card drivers
  • Updated system drivers
  • Restarted the system
  • Held CTRL while launching the application and used the menu to clear settings
  • Held CTRL while launching to try disabling HA
  • Uninstalled the MSIX version and installed the EXE version
  • Running the application with only 1 of both my monitors connected

None of the above have resolved the issue.

Ich mache hier mit

Nach dem MS-Update von Windows 11 auf 24H2, bekomme ich beim Start von AFFINITY Photo 2 eine Fehlermeldung mit Abbruch.

Eine Neuinstallation brachte keine Besserung.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

V1 applications do not communicate with each other, like the V2 applications do, so they would not experience the problem you're seeing.

It sounds liike you have a different problem than @Seth Stenzel has, since their applications start but then fail. Yours do not start. Please review the posts in this FAQ and see if they help:

@Seth Stenzel: Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Issues like that are often due to graphics drivers, and sometimes it is necessary to completely uninstall them (using the DDU utility) and reinstall those drivers from scratch. One of the staff mentioned that here:

Can you provide some information on your installed GPU(s)?

Also, are you getting any crash reports, or does the Windows Event Viewer show relevant information?
