Bob N Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 16 inch MacBook Pro - 2019 intel chip Dropdown (via small lower left arrow) for Shapes in the left hand tool is missing. I moused over all of the shapes via View, Customize Tools menu and found none contained a GROUP containing the other shapes.. Did a reinstall off of my account page, still no dropdown in toolbar or customize shapes. On Designer 2 Beta 2.6.0 (2900) I get a shapes dropdown off of the donut icon. Totally missing in Designer 2.5.6 Is there a way I can make a SHAPES GROUP within 2.5.6? Or, is this a bug? Photo and Designer are AMAZING. Quote
Old Bruce Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Took me quite a while to find it. On my Mac it is in with the text tools, near the top of the various tools in the Customize Tools flyout. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Bob N Posted December 1, 2024 Author Posted December 1, 2024 Old Bruce, you genius! On my customize tools screen it is the double sided arrow that has the drop down arrow. Between the Gradient tool and the Frame Text Tool. Don't understand why they are not consistent. I installed it and I have all of the shapes back, right from the toolbar. I'm an Old Bob. Quote

I do believe that the tool in the Customize Tools.. flyout are going to reflect whatever you have chosen for that. In my case it was the Spiral tool, I changed to the Star tool and subsequently saw the Star tool in the Customize tools... So most likely you had set it to the Double Arrow tool before it went for a walk.
