Inamini
Hello experts! Can someone tell me how to export my design with the data merge table? When I export I don't see the table I created. I hope you understand my question. Greetings from the Netherlands from Ina.
walt.farrell
Sorry, but I don't quite understand, Ina. I will assume by "data merge table" you're referring to the Data Merge Layout Tool. It will produce something that looks like a Table, into which you would insert the names of the Fields you want to insert from your Data Merge Source file. Then, when you perform the Data Merge, those fields from the records of your Data Merge Source file will be inserted into the output file created by the Data Merge. But in that output file, you do not (if I remember correctly) actually have a Table. You have the merged data, laid out as you had it in the Data Merge Layout. Does that help explain what you're seeing? If not, perhaps it will help you refine your question, or perhaps you can give us some screenshots to help us better understand what you mean Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Inamini
Hello Walt, thanks for taking time to answer my question. In the meanwhile I discovered that it is a tool, not a real visible table. So I made a table by using the pen. Greetz, Ina.

You can also place a table on the master page of the data merge layout document that matches the Data Merge Layout setup (number of rows). The data merge fields can be defined by using tab stops (or separate, field specific text boxes), and when merged, data would not be actually within table cells but in multiple text frames just outlined by the table on the master page, but visually the result looks as if data were laid out in a table. datamerge_table.mp4 data.xlsx datamerge_table.afpub datamerged.afpub walt.farrell
