Aligning an object relative to the selection

Recommended Posts

You have the white Rectangle layer selected and you have a Pixel selection that happens to be the Text. You in fact do not have the Text layer selected. Use the layers panel to select the two layers you want to be aligned. Use the Move tool to Shift + Click to select the white Rectangle and the Text.

Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I understand what u mean, but I don't need to move both layers together. I just need to align the rectangle exactly to the center relative to the text horizontally and exactly on the center of the space between the canvas and the text vertically

Select the Rectangle, Shift + Click on the Text. Choose to align to the Last selected for the alignment.
