Publisher 2 on MacOS 15

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've just updated to MacOS 15 on a MacBook Pro M2 and Publisher 2 doesn't work anymore.

It loads the application but you can't do anything...

  1. Click to draw a square, for example, nothing happens
  2. Change the color on the color pallete, nothing happens
  3. Try to add a text, again, nothing happens. The application is not unresponsive because you can select things but nothing happens.

I also noticed that after opening a file, 3 minutes later the application kind works... but it crashes few minutes later.

It's also not possible to close the app unless you force quit.

Everything was working perfect until the MacOs update.

Machine:
MacBook Pro M2
24GB RAM

Hi @iCoNio and welcome to the forums,

I’d try a Publisher factory reset by holding the Ctrl key while launching the app. When you see the Clear User Data screen leave the first three options ticked and click the Clear button and let Publisher finish launching and see whether that fixes the problem…

Note 1: A factory reset will reset any customisation you’ve made to the tools panel and context toolbar

Note 2: There is currently a bug with the Affinity apps running in Sequoia which means that no thumbnails are saved with your files and you won’t see a Quick Look preview of your file when selecting the file and hitting the spacebar…
