This is an interesting puzzle. This shape had some .png's clipped inside. The fill color became orange sometime during the process. I did not select a fill color as far as I can remember, certainly not that color. I copied and pasted it in a new document and deleted the bitmaps. I can change the fill color but with no fill selected it returns to orange. Designer file attached.

I have no idea how it managed to get like that but selecting it and pressing “Revert defaults” on the Toolbar sets things right again.

This might be ‘one of those things’ that only Serif can figure out, unless someone has a bright idea.

Check the Appearance panel, you have 2 fills applied

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
