GDSRDA Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Hello, Affinity Designer 2 team, Please solve this problem, I had 4 the same issues this month when trying to print using "Command + P", I'm using a Macbook Pro M1 with the latest Sonoma 14.6.1. The attached screenshot of the crashes is attached. Crash Report 2 Sept 2024.pdf Quote
Staff Lee D Posted September 9, 2024 Staff Posted September 9, 2024 @GDSRDA Sorry for the delay. Is this happening when you try printing any document from Designer or just a particular one and if so provide a copy? Can you confirm your printers make/model and how it's connected to your system. Have you also tried reloading your print drivers as on macOS the print window/dialog is provided by the OS. Quote

Yes from any document like a new document from scratch or a previous program that I use is a (.ai) file from Adobe Illustrator. By the way, I forgot the document I printed, so I can not provide a copy. When I used the previous program Adobe Illustrator, it never crashed when printing, I thought my printer was working fine, but when I replaced Adobe Illustrator with Affinity Designer 2 this crash happened more than 4 times. The printers am using are Epson L1300 driver version 12.62 & Epson L805 driver version 12.62. Quote
GDSRDA Posted September 18, 2024 Author Posted September 18, 2024 Crash again, hmm. Just simple task Command + P and crash. Quote
Tearlach Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I have seen this behaviour twice as well. Started immediately after upgrade to 2.6. It's existing files I have been using for a long time. Never happened previously. Not consistent (not every time), but when I type Command P it's as if I just typed Command-Tab and switched to another app. That's how fast Affinity goes down. Nothing else in my system has changed. Other apps are printing fine. I did not save the error log, since I wasn't thinking of it as a recurring bug. If it happens again, I'll take notes. But it's not an isolated incident. (I've had the same style instant crash doing other things, but none has yet been reproducible. Just now it was picking "Recent" from the font selection tab up top. I'll probably report that separately if it happens again) Quote
