details about pixabay images

Recommended Posts

Unbelievable how much first class images will be available on the pixabay studio panel.

Is there actually a way to get more information about the photo?

In the panel and when it is imported it seems to be completely anonymous, so it has no ID or something that I could then enter at pixabay to learn more about the author or check similar images

Sometimes my English is a bit uncertain despite the translation. Is it true that these pictures are completely free and are only subject to the smallest restrictions? So I can use them commercially (whether I plan to do that or not...)

I tried to double click and long touch. I believe thats sometimes hard on iPad because with the pencil every movement by touching is like move it. I will try this later for a longer time, there are several issues for me when i want to click and the pencil moves instead.

Thank you ☺️

So I can open the stock URI but then I come as far as I can see only to the linked file itself

That's all you can get, at least on the iPad.

Or, ,at least, that's all I've found so far on iPad.

On Desktop, you can double-click on the item in the Stock panel and it takes you to the Stock site's web-page for that image, with all the info visible. Or you can click on Open Stock URL in the Resource Manager, which takes you to the same place.

I haven't gotten either to work on the iPad. I have managed to get to the website, but only the image shows and not the other data. More research needed.

I think this demonstrates a bug in the Affinity iPad apps.

iPad: Insert a Stock image from Pixabay. In the Resource manager, in the panel options, click on Open Stock URL. You are taken to a web page with, e.g., this URL which opens you to a view of just that image: https://pixabay.com/get/g26cee897fb6833f39bc3a7ef5d8c990d61d5fceab8b4a59504a05a87102329f506afc39c06bf76ba43b6d44bf29746d5.jpg

Desktop: Do the same with the same image. From the Resource Manager, Open Stock URL gives a different URL, one for the image's source page at PixaBay with more information available including artist and license info:
