How do I snap one node onto another? I have two rotated rectangles, and I would like them to share a corner node. However, when I select the nodes of one rectangle using the Node Select tool and drag them over the node I want to snap to on the other rectangle, I don't get any snapping candidates.

UPDATE: Nevermind... it seems to work now? I'm not sure what I did differently. (Man snapping candidates are annoying to work with.)

Hi sarahgould,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Only objects can be Snapping Candidates and respond to global snapping (that is, the options you find in the menu View ▸ Snapping Manager). When working with nodes you can control snapping through the local snapping options (buttons) you find in the context toolbar for the Node Tool in the Snap section (and also Pen Tool).

In you case you have to select the first icon - Snap to selected curves. Note that both rectangles must be selected. Here's a small clip (no sound) showing how to do it.
