Andreas S Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 In my document I have defined formats for my headline with the Alignment towards spine. The document was configured to show facing pages (Attachment facing setup). The headlines were placed as wanted (Attachment Facing_two). Then I had to switch to single page display, as the inner bleed shows in the "facing pages" mode on the wrong page (I know, we had this discussion some weeks ago, and I learned, that this flaw has no impact in most cases, but I want to avoid the printer's question: "Why should I ask for a bleed, if you fill it with wrong data?"). Anyway I switched to single page mode (attachment Single_Setup) - still seeing the attribute "Starting on Left/Right page" which is required to identify the spine of the document. But Afpub doesn't seem to use this information and formats all paragraphs, as if they would be on a left page (Attachment single_right). Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 If you are intent on using the Single Page model then you will have to redefine your Headings Paragraph Style into two, one for the left and one for the right. I do agree that the application should be smart enough to infer that there is a spine on Single Page model documents. But it isn't. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
