Ed B Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Designer 2 2.5.2 says "Failed to open file /Users/.../xxxx.afphoto The file is already open in Affinity Photo 2 2.5.2 on this device." It says this whether the Affinity Photo is active or not (i.e. after quitting Affinity Photo). "Edit in Designer" was not available on Affinity Photo's File menu, but "Edit in Publisher" was available. The problem was "resolved" by restarting Affinity Photo. The original file was a small .HEIC photo from which I made a screen capture and then edited that in Affinity Photo and saved it as an .AFPHOTO file. I cannot send you the file as a sample because it is a cheque signature. I am running Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) on a MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro CPU and 16 Gb RAM.
