Dan C Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Certain users may find the Affinity apps crashing on Windows when either Opening, Importing or creating a New Document. This usually indicates a communication error with your Graphics device (GPU) and the Affinity app, most commonly caused by outdated GPU drivers. Please visit the manufactures links below to download the latest driver available for your system - - Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html - Nvidia: https://www.nvidia.com/drivers - AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html Note: you may need to go direct to your PC manufactures website for the driver, if you see a warning regarding 'OEM drivers' when trying to install one from the above sites. If your device has multiple GPUs - such as Integrated Intel Graphics and a dedicated external GPU card, please ensure the drivers for both devices are fully updated. Once downloaded and installed, please restart your computer and then launch the Affinity app again. Should the app continue to crash, please try disabling Hardware Acceleration, as outlined here - We also recommend ensuing your Windows OS is fully up to date, if you aren't sure how to check for updates, please see - Update Windows Finally, if you're still experiencing issues having followed these steps, please create a New Bug Report with as much information as possible and our team will be happy to assist further.
