Adish Sagarawat Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Hello, There has been a persistent bug in Affinity Designer since the release of Version 1. This bug affects the software's ability to support Unicode typing and proper text formatting. As a result, it becomes difficult to create designs in regional languages, rendering the software less useful for many users. This is a significant problem, and we kindly request that you address it promptly. Quote A link to a video demonstrating this issue is provided below. Quote

Yeah, thanks for it, I hope this to be fixed with the V6 Release, as I switched to Affinity from Inkscape and if Inkscape can do that then why not Affinity? Kudos to the Development Team for the work they are doing ! Quote
Jinsung Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Many Korean users are considering transitioning to Affinity Designer due to its affordability and functionality compared to other software like Adobe Illustrator. However, issues like these Unicode-related bugs and the lack of Korean interface support are significant barriers. These problems discourage potential users and push them to stick with existing tools despite Affinity Designer’s potential. Ensuring smooth regional language support, especially for Korean, would greatly enhance the user experience and encourage more designers to adopt the software. I hope the development team prioritizes addressing these issues to make Affinity Designer a more inclusive and global product. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Quote

Now, I am expecting at least a response from the Affinity staff or development team members. Quote
