Affinity Rat
I was considering using my iPad as an interface device to a Macbook Air and was wondering how well that works with Affinity products? https://support.apple.com/en-us/102597
loukash
I have tested it last year and eventually I made it work. But our iPad runs on my wife's Apple ID, so I could only use it when logged into her account on the Mac. Affinity Rat
Thank you, yes, it needs the same Apple ID, but how was the experience vs the iPad. By experience I dont mean the comfy chair. I’d love the comfy chair while having my light ipad mini and pencil to work with. 😊
loukash
Hm… my favorite workspace is a bean bag anyway. With the MacBook on my lap. Yep, that's where I'm sitting while typing this. Sometimes I plug in my "obsolete" Wacom tablet (via hacked drivers) and place it on a small stool next to me. So the "Sidecar" experience wasn't exactly… overwhelming. I've acknowledged that this workspace option technically "works" under specific circumstances, and moved on. If I needed to go beyond my old trusty Wacom tablet workflow, I'd rather use Affinity on iPad directly with the Apple Pencil which we also have. But as of lately, I haven't had any work that would require it. Affinity Rat
Ok, thanx for that, I too have an old Wacom tablet drivers way out of date, but new ones not that expensive w/o video. I love my iPad mini, sometimes need features of the desktop, I have desktop too, but not comfy to sit at. Yes I know how these kind of claims work, sounds good but impractical and problematic in reality. 😊
