squinx
Hi there, I am working on a book, less than 300 pages. I just 20ish small chapters. I open the book, the numbers are off. I have to open each chapter and close it, then the page numbers are correct. I don't make any changes in the chapter. Affinity asks me if I want to save changes - I chose no, since there were no changes - then when I need to open again Affinity asks me if I need to open a recovery file - if I chose yes or no, the system gets stuck (no response) so I need to restart. This is maddening. I am trying to get the TOC done since I am doing it manually and the numbers shift and keeps crashing. No crash report in file. I have a Surface book 2 8g. Just updated to 2.5.0 to see if it helps - It doesn't. Thanks for any insights! I am so ready to wrap this up!
MikeTO
Which version of Publisher are you using? You've posted in the v1 forum but the Book feature that supports separate Chapter documents was added in version 2. If you open a chapter and that corrects the page numbers, you should save it - the page number changing was a change even if you didn't make the change yourself. I can't answer why you're having crashes and seeing recovery file prompts unless you're using 2.5.0 in which case they're working on it. There is a beta of 2.5.2 available that will likely fix most of the issues. Good luck. squinx
Thanks good to know. So even if I don't make changes if the page numbers manage to save I should save the chapter? I just updated to 2.5.0 but I have seen this happen before.
