I have several png QR codes (set to only K) in my layout and they are really crisp no matter the zoom in affinity(2.4). As soon as I export the layout to CMYK they get washed out in the exported PDF. I am clueless what to do, as I really don't have the time to replace every QRc with a SVG version. Any tips? Is this a bug, because I remember png QR codes always were easy to migrate to cmyk with the k only option.

You may be confusing Rich Black which uses all four inks (CMYK) with Black only which uses only the K channel and therefore looks "washed out". Another thing is that you may have Rich Black and you are looking at the Black channel which will be less than 100% ink.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
