Live Luminosity Range Mask Obstructs Layer Options

Recommended Posts

This has been an ongoing issue that I’ve noticed when using hue live mask, live luminosity range mask, band pass live mask then clicking to select layer options leaves the window open in front of the layer options which blocks the lower part of the layer options panel as shown in the provided image.  I tried factory reset, closing and reopening, trying different images, upgrading to version 2.5 but still having this problem.  It’s very easy to recreate the issue.  Is there a way to move any of these mask windows out of the way from the layer options panel?  Would be nice if it could be clicked and dragged out of the way not to obstruct the layer options panel.  Maybe this is for another topic but also once clicked from one live mask to another and both panels remained open freezing and not working I closed the app and reloaded it to correct that one.

If you close and reopen the Layer panel that dialog will slide further to the left (at least it does for me), but there's no way to move it. You would have to zoom or move the image to see what's behind it. Or, while adjusting the opacity or blur values it should disappear to let you see everything.

Selecting a different layer in the Layers panel will dismiss the dialog completely.

When closing and reopening the layer panel it also slides further to the left for me.  I usually use my IPad Pro 11” in landscape orientation and also noticed the dialogue window not obstructing the layer options if I rotate my iPad into portrait orientation then back to landscape the dialogue will disappear.  So next time it happens I’ll either close and reopen the layers panel or rotate my iPad into portrait view and back to landscape view.  Hoping Affinity will allow a user to simply click and slide it out of the way.
