ziplock9000 Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 I've uploaded the file. I have the letters S and E as curves. If I use the contour tool on them the E works as expected, but the S wont get a contour until it's >~1.7mm I've checked the nodes on the S and they look normal. I need to contour to be 1mm. (Yes the workaround is to make it 10x bigger, do contour then shrink but I want the tool to work properly) delme.afdesign Quote
R C-R Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 I think this might be a bug, but if you need to set the contour of the S to 1 mm & want to avoid the grow/shrink workaround, another workaround is to first use the boolean divide to separate the Curves layer into 2 Curve layers, & then select one of the curves at a time & set the contour as desired. (It won't work if you select both, so it certainly seems like a bug to me.) I think there must be something weird about that S shape because if I start with a Frame or Art text object, type "SE" into it using for instance Ariel or Roboto & then convert that to curves, it works fine at any mm size. So do you remember what font was used to make the SE text or where it came from if it was not originally created in Affinity? Unfortunately I never got the original font from the client and it was an .ai file. When loaded into AD it was a curve. Quote
