I recently upgraded Affinity Pro version from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 and recently started having issues with the Clarity -- New Live Filter Layer/Sharpen option, where the Clarity option crashes the Affinity Pro software completely. I will lose all of my changes if I don't save each step of the way. Any reason as to why the Pro software crashes when running under version 2.4.1 where I never had this issue ?

Welcome to the forums @PatT

If you can tell us which OS you are using then a moderator can move this thread to the relevant Bugs section of the forums.

Also, if I have understood correctly, you say you upgraded from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 and then it started crashing, but you later say that you are getting the crashes with version 2.4.1. Can you give some clarification on this?

Note: There’s no such things as “Affinity Pro”, it's just the Affinity suite. I'm assuming that you are using Affinity Photo since you are using a Live Sharpen Filter, but it's best if you state which application you are using (and OS) at the start of the thread so people can (hopefully) give you better advice early on without needing to ask.

Hi PatT,

In addition to the above please could you tell me if this occurs with one specific file or does it affect all files? If its just the one file please could you provide a copy of it? You should be able to upload it to the following DropBox link.

It might also be handy if you could provide a copy of the latest crash report found by following the below guide.

Thanks
