Ruler guide lines can not be removed (AD 2, ipad, tested in new doc, v. 2.4.1.2344)

Hi @_Amageton_,

Thanks for your report!

I can confirm that the behaviour shown in your screen recording is expected - it's not possible to 'drag' a guide back into the Ruler in Affinity on Desktop or iPad, therefore in your recording when the guide moves, this is because it is simply being dragged to a different section of your canvas / artboard.

However, it should be possible to drag and drop a guide outside of the canvas / artboard area in order for the guide to be removed. This does work correctly on desktop currently, but is unfortunately a known issue on iPad, where the guide will remain present and visible, even when dragged off canvas.

Desktop -

iPad -

I'll be sure to 'bump' this guide drag off-canvas issue with our team now, in the meantime if you select your guide line, you can use the Delete icon in the top right of the Guides manager options to remove the guide.

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
