I haven't had a background crash in months in any of the apps so this was a bit surprising. I had four small documents open - three PDF pages and one new image. I see Metal in this report and I do have Metal enabled in Photo so it might be that old issue. I don't push Photo very hard and never have crashes in it so I haven't bothered turning Metal off there. I just keep it off in Publisher where it's more of a problem for me.
