This is more of a piece of info to share with newer users, especially to those who utilze the pen tool. Sharing knowledge is critical - helping someone in their journey in mastering technique is one of the greatest rewards in life. Clearly, Affinity's pen tool is fantastic. So maybe you know this, or perhaps not. For quite some time I was unaware that you could adjust anchor points in the pen tool's pressure setting independently of one another (where anchor points follow one another uniformly). To get around this, use the option key on a mac to scale anchor points independently. You will see it makes  your lines look much more interesting. Additionally, the command key sometimes does this as well. Experiment with it and make awesome art.

And now for the colouring in?

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

These are not my own words but I sure like this quote.
