HumbleBumble
Anybody having trouble printing from the Affinity Suite? I upgraded to 2:4:1 this morning and now when I hit PRINT nothing happens. The FILE menu flashes for a microsecond when I try COMMAND-P but nothing gets sent to the printer. Note that I also updated to Sonoma 14:3:1 recently and updated my EPSON ET-1810 software recently, however the printer works perfectly from other apps, just not any of the Serif suite. Many thanks for any observations.
Staff Callum Posted March 26 Staff Share Posted March 26 Hi HumbleBumble, Welcome to the forums In the past cases of this issue have been fixed by removing and re-adding your printer, please could try fully removing the printer from your system and then re-adding it to as it should solve this problem for you. HumbleBumble
Found an easy workaround for anybody else who has this problem and is as squeamish about tinkering too much with the system... (Nb: I'm on a Mac.) When I saw that REMOVE PRINTER button under my pointer I chose discretion rather than valour and simply duplicated my printer instead and set that one as the default. Seemed to work and Affinity now printing again. My usage is largely sketching paintings at A3 size or larger, tiling them onto A4 via my printer and then manually transferring the sketch onto canvas at size. Since Affinity is one of the few programs I know of that does tiling (and doesn't charge a subscription) I am delighted to be up and running again. Bang on the Monet. walt.farrell
