klauspstein
Could the reason for the crash be a memory problem? It seems that free space on my C:/ drive vanishes very fast while editing with Affinityphoto 2.40 . Is there any chance to repair a corrupted file? Thank you! Staff Dan C Posted March 4 Staff Share Posted March 4 Hi @klauspstein, Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. Are you able to please attach a copy of this .afphoto file here for me? Just to confirm, has this occurred with any further documents for you since your post - or did this only affect the above file? Can you also please navigate to Edit > Settings > Performance and provide a screenshot of your settings here for me? Many thanks in advance Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Many thanks in advance Thanks for the feedback, I will try to upload the file, although it is a large file of about 120 MB. I've had a few unexplained crashes of Affinity Photo where the programme would just abruptly quit. Whether this is a memory problem, I don't know. Support from the graphics card has always worked well so far. DSF3813-RAF.afphoto
Staff Dan C Posted March 5 Staff Share Posted March 5 Thanks for providing that for me - I've been able to recover your file and have attached a copy of this here, however the corruption applied to a few of the Pixel layers is permanent and unfortunately cannot be removed from these layers. Our sincerest apologies due to this: DSF3813-RAF_f.afphoto In regards to your Performance settings, I'd recommend ensure you have the latest GPU driver for your GTX 960, directly from Nvidias website (https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx) as outdated GPU drivers can cause unexpected crashing in Affinity. Should the apps continue to crash after updating these and restarting your PC, please try unticking Hardware Acceleration, then restart the app as prompted and try editing once again. I hope this helps Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.
