[Currently using a MacBook Air M1, OS macOS Sonoma 14.2.1]

I was working on an important file and I saved it as a package and as a regular file.
When I tried to save, it told me that the save could not be completed because the file was not write-enabled.
When I tried to reopen the file, either as .apub or as .apackage, it would tell me that the file is not supported.
Can anyone help me with this? I've seen that many people on the internet have encountered this problem but I haven't found anyone who has solved it yet.

Welcome to the forums @Elisabetta,

Unfortunately the 'File type not supported' error is can be an indication that a file has been corrupted to the point that it is not recognised as a valid file format by the apps, if you could provide a copy of the affected document we can confirm if it is recoverable.

In addition to the file, if you could confirm where the file was stored and saved to (E.G Network drive, external drive, cloud drive, local drive) as well as your current Publisher version that would be great. If you do not wish to share the document publicly I have provided a private upload link below.

Many thanks
