Hi guys, I have a problem with a file export to PDF. I work on mac in Affinity Photo and export the drawing to a PDF. On mac the drawing looks clean and as soon as I open it on a windows, the boarders of white brush strokes become visible even on white background. It doesn't help to open the pdf in Publisher and export again. Can anyone help? :) Thx in advance!

Hi @gomagmag and welcome to the forums,

My first question would be why Affinity Photo rather than Affinity Designer?

Without knowing what you're starting with it's difficult to advise but assuming you're adding the measurements to the sketch and using a brush to paint out the lines indicated by the arrows in your screengrab then you'd likely be better off just hiding the lines with a rectangle that has a white fill...

This of course doesn't answer your question as to why the borders of white brush strokes become visible on the white background when exported to a PDF file.

Are you able to upload one of your Affinity Photo files which has the white brush strokes applied so we can take a look as to possible causes for the problem you are seeing?

Dear @Hangman, thanks a lot for your reply!

I've chosen Affinity Photo, cause I had to cover up a lot of pixel spots from a scan of a hand drawing and thought it's better for that.

I can't upload the file, cause it's 30 MB big, but I've uploaded it here: https://easyupload.io/ftouvp - hope it works.

Now I think it might be because of the gray pixel layer, which i've added on top, to darken some areas. But it's still confusing, that I can't see the "errors" on the Mac.
