The links for a couple of the V1 requests are below, but I'd like to keep this request alive for the new version. I'd submit that EndNote is pretty popular but kind of a turd, and Zotero is free/open-source and has a fantastic web importer to add articles to a citation database. I'd propose the most important support to add would be for Zotero (they have a web API, and Affinity Publisher could have a setting to sign in and access the citation database).
