W + H in Xfm tool in Designer 2.3 is backwards

Recommended Posts

Today I tried resizing an object with the Xfm tool. I had to put my width in the H section and the height in the W section. However, when I export and upload to another program it is backwards and not uploading correctly because one side is too large for the program. I also noticed that sometimes I changed the measurements and the object didn't change. I'm attaching the screen shots of my project and the Xfm box. I have never had this trouble before so I'm wondering is it a glitch or did I mistakenly change something without knowing. I'm fairly new so please explain in easy lingo. Thank you.

I think it's just that you have rotated this object:

which you can see because the rotation handle points to the right rather than up. Since you've done that, and have not reset the bounding box, that object's "height" runs from left to right (e.g., the same direction as that rotation handle), and its "width" runs from top to bottom.

Walt, I just check back on my project and I believe you are correct. Thank you!! I didn't rotate but move that line to the right, then did the screen shot. I went back in, clicked where I should have and the dimensions are correct. What a silly mistake. Now to figure out why it is uploading to that other program so large. Enjoy your evening.
