White Balance only works on Raw Files correctly

Recommended Posts

Hello, first time in the forum, so no idea where to place the topic.

My question is concerning the White Balance.
I know there has been several topics in the past, for the White Balance not working correctly. That I can acknoledge for Mac OS and Affinity Photo V1 / V2.
But it works fine on Develop Persona on Raw Files. White Balance + Tint or Colour Cast ist corrected perfectly. It never did on jpgs tiffs and any others I tried, neither on Photo or Develop Persona.
Why?
In principle it should be the same procedure or algorythm.

Thanks in advance, jorobw

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

If you think it's a bug, and you're using macOS, you picked the right place.

However, as it's already been reported, and you seem to know that, there's really no need to make a new topic for it. You could simply post in one of the existing topics. For example, doing a Search from within the forums for "white balance" raw jpg (and making sure the search scope is set to Everywhere) finds this recent topic:

There, we can see from the post by a Serif Staff member a confirmation that the problem is known and still not resolved.
