Ponygirl Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) I just downloaded and installed the latest version of Affinity for Windows. As a designer, I have used InDesign for over 25 years and it was easy to convert text to outlines. Affinity uses a contour tool, but the tool does not show up in the tool bar or in the options to add to the tool bar. I'm stumped. Where is it? Edited December 29, 2023 by Ponygirl Quote

Have you tried Layer > Convert to Curves? Ponygirl Posted December 29, 2023 Author Posted December 29, 2023 Yes, that worked. For some reason, it did not show up in the menu, so I closed and reopened the program. Now it is an option. There is another problem. When I switch to the designer persona, it asks me to buy and install Affinity. I have already done that, so I'm not sure why I can't use the personas. Quote

You did not say which Affinity app you have but if it is Affinity Designer there is a Contour Tool, although that may not be what you are looking for. Ponygirl Posted December 29, 2023 Author Posted December 29, 2023 I figured it out. I purchased Publsiher so I could open InDesign files. I did not realize the design tools were not included. Quote
