Astrophotography stacking of large number of frames

I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to stack 400 or more frames in astrophotography.

It does just fine with 100 but when you go higher it never finishes the processing even after multiple hours.

This is in comparison to other stacking programs that take less than 30 minutes to do the same thing.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this?

I would love to continue using your product.

@jkmozzz Welcome to the forums.

Other apps may process the frames differently to ours, so times will vary. On occasion the processing may encounter an issue that causes it to stop. In those cases we like to get a copy of the frames and repeat the process to see if the issue occurs again. Our developers can then look at the app/issue more closely.

@James Ritson may be able to offer some further workflow advice that you can try.
