Lunsdum Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Hello, I have a little problem with the paragraph style window in Publisher on my PC. As you can see in the attach file, the window is too large for my screen and I can't see the buttons "ok" and "cancel" at the bottom. I can use the enter touch to validate or click on the cross to cancel, but it's not pleasant. Is it a bug or can I do something to solve the problem ? Thank you for your help. Quote
GarryP Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Welcome to the forums @Lunsdum There’s nothing you can do to change the size of the dialog box in relation to the rest of the UI – it’s of a fixed size with no resize capability. I notice that the screenshot you supplied is 1920x1280 which is HD so my guess is that your system settings have the Scale set to something much larger than 100%. Go to “Windows Start → Settings → System → Display” and look at the “Scale and layout” settings. Try changing the percentage to 100% if it is not set to that already. Lunsdum 1 Quote
Lunsdum Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Indeed, my scale is set to 150% and I have tried your solution and it work fine, but police is too little for me. So, I'll keep on with a scale at 150% and a paragraph style window too big. Thank you for your help. Quote
GarryP Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 You’re welcome. I don’t know of anything else you can try but someone else might. One thing you can do, and it’s a bit of a ‘hack’, is to move the window via the keyboard shortcuts – Alt+Space, “M” key, and then use the arrow keys to move the window – but I wouldn’t like to have to do that very often. Lunsdum Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 I have tried to move the window like you said, but it didn't work. I am blocked by the high of my screen. I can move the window down but not up, and like you said, it's not pleasant to do. ^^ I prefer push the enter touch. ^^ Fortunately, this is the only window which bother me. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Would 125% work for you, rather than 150%? GarryP Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 You should be able to do most of the normal modifications which the Edit Text Style dialog lets you do via the Paragraph Panel (and Character Panel) and then update the text using the style via the “Update Paragraph Style” button (or “Update Character Style” button) in the Text Styles Panel (where there are also buttons for creating text styles). By doing that you might be able to reduce your reliance upon the dialog and make things a bit easier. walt.farrell 1 Quote
