Nai Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 This may bea longshot but i think i'm experiencing the lack of updates now. I was working on this file this morning and everything was fine then it closed and now i'm getting this error message. I tried working in an older file and the same thing happened. it's also saying that the next file now corrupted. I'm not sure what to do now. I've downloaded V2 and opted for the trial to see if it'll fix it before purchasing V2 and its the same issue. Quote
Nai Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 Which Operating System are you using? - Windows 11 Which version of Affinity did the file last get saved in? V 1.10.6.1665 What drive type was the file last saved to (select more than one if needed)? External Drive (as usual) I was working as usual in designer, finished a project and copy/pasted the file to move onto another project. The file was working fine and once closed i received the error message: File includes features from a later version of Affinity. I downloaded V2, used the trial option, created a new file began working. Midway i had to close the file and upon trying to reopen i got the error message that the file is now corrupted. I am unsure as to what to do now. Please help. Quote

External Drive (as usual) Better work with files your internal main drive (creating/modifying ... etc.), since the Affinity apps are known to have sometimes problems (data lost due to after saving on external drives resulting to corrupted files) with file i/o on external mounted USB drives and network drives. Dan C Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Welcome to the Affinity Forums @Nai & sorry to hear you're having trouble! It's possible that this error message is showing incorrectly, caused by corruption in your .afdesign file - but we can only be certain with a copy of the document itself. Just to confirm, has this file you created in V1 been opened/saved within V2 at any point? Can you please attach a copy of this file here for me? Ah Ok, didn't looked after the Win release versionings, just know the latest V1 stuff used under macOS. BTW, there seems to be something similar in behavior cause here (... I created a master for my publication with release 2.0 and I'm now on 3.0. ... ?) in a wrong forum section.
